What Is The Basement Health Association (BHA)?
(...and why should you care?)
The Basement Health Association (BHA)
is the premiere National Trade Association for Basement Waterproofers, Foundation Repair Contractors, and Basement Egress installers. It began 40 years ago as the National Association of Waterproofing Contractors. Over the years, it has expanded its reach and has pushed the industry towards better solutions for homeowners.
The BHA holds Educational Seminars each year where contractors can gather together to learn from industry experts and EACH OTHER! Experts from around the country are engaged to educate those who attend. These seminars are where the future of the industry is molded and shaped.
The BHA is also a CO-SPONSOR of WORLD OF CONCRETE! Yes, that is a real thing. Anything and Everything related to concrete all under one roof. Or rather 3 roofs and 3 parking lots of the Las Vegas Convention Center every winter. It is the largest concrete construction trade show in the world. And the BHA is right in the heart of it all.

In addition to providing outstanding educational opportunities and sponsoring the World of Concrete - the BHA is also the premiere Certification body for contractors in our industry. The BHA currently offers 4 different Certifications. Waterproofing, Egress, Basement Air Quality, and Structural Repair. Members who achieve certification in one or more of these areas truly set themselves apart as being one of the top 1% in their field. Seriously…would you use a doctor or dentist who wasn’t Certified? Then why would you trust your single largest asset to someone who wasn’t serious enough about their profession to get certified?
