 In fact, 3 generations and 65 years ago, my grandfather became the first Basement Waterproofer in the family when he opened Springfield Waterproofing!  While he was born and raised in South Philly, my grandfather settled in Springfield where the 2nd generation of waterproofers was born and raised.  My mom went to Prendie and Springfield High School.  My dad went to Upper Darby High School.   Going WAY back, my great aunt was the “Sue” of “Sue’s Sweet Shop”.   While the 3rd generation of waterproofers wasn’t raised in Delco, we were born there.  My older siblings were born at Delaware County Memorial Hospital, and I was born at Riddle Memorial Hospital.  So while we may not roam the streets of Springfield on a daily basis anymore, our roots in the area run deep.
