Carbon Fiber Straps

What are Carbon Fiber Straps used for? 

Carbon Fiber Straps are commonly used to reinforce bowing foundation walls - both block and poured concrete.  They increase the overall strength of the wall exponentially by creating ‘cones’ of resistance against the force of the wall (and the soil behind it).  By adhering the Carbon Fiber to the wall with a specialized Epoxy, it prevents any further inward movement.  This is a faster, more economical, and stronger repair than the old fashioned Rod & Grout. 

One note to consider however is that Carbon Fiber is a relatively new technology compared to Rod & Grout.  Some of the older Engineers out there are not very familiar with it, and shy away from it merely from a lack of experience with it.  But rest assured - Carbon Fiber has been mathematically engineered and thoroughly tested.  In short…it works!
